This is the last day I'm working for Sogeti. While I enjoyed working here, I felt that my personal goals could not be fullfilled within the company. So as of tomorrow I'll be working freelance. Anyone interested in hiring ;-)

Actually, I'm already pretty booked for the coming year. I'll be working on an a couple of ASP.NET applications, a Windows Service here and there. Naturally all in .NET, VB.NET in particular, perhaps some C#.

My webserver was down all day today. I just got it back up running again, but spontaneous bsod's have been popping up. My guess is a hardware problem. I unplugged one of the the mirroring harddisks, and after an initial boot-failure, the machine booted ok the second time.

So I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope that he will make it to the weekend when I have more time to check up on him.

It's true, ASP.NET is running on Mono, the open source implementation of the .NET Development Framework. http://www.mo8il.com/ is supposedly one of the first ASP.NET web sites running on Mono (via Miguel).

Mono is now on version 0.29 and looking pretty stable. I hope to get the time to check it out soon.

The weblog pages at Dotnetjunkies seem to be down. Check out this error message:

This doesn't look good. I would have assumed that the developers of this site paid more attention to error handling.

[update 08:45] they've fixed it, at least for now.
[update2 09:00] no they haven't, the feedback function is still not working... I'm glad my weblog is not hosted here.
