As a former demoscene democoder/music composer (1990-2000) I was very surprised to see a photo of a screen from a Farbrausch demo/intro (www.theproduct.de, www.farb-raush.com)

Could you please explain a bit how a demoscene product ends up in the MVP summit?

(btw, I became an MVP (C#) late march, so I couldn't attend at the Summit this year, maybe next year )

Indeed... MSDN isn't very usefull these days for the 1.1 developer.

yes, that was Farbrausch. In fact, one of the guys from Farbrausch was there, he's an MVP too.
MVPs had a chance to display or discuss stuff of their own interest last night, and one decided that the demoscene was worth an half an hour. It was very impressive to see what people can do in 64kB or even 4!
And I heard from Gerard V. that you were nominated, but wanted to leave it to you to announce it. Welcome!

Yeah their tool is so impressive I saw it back in 2002 I think, really amazing. Who was there, Dierk Ohlerich or Fabian Giesen? Dierk Ohlerich is THE big hero of the demoscene. In the early days he wrote the best demos on the Amiga (as Chaos/Sanity) and later on he wrote a couple of the most amazing demos on the PC. And they're still doing that after all these years!

I think it was Peter Koen. He's and mvp for Visual c# and a member of farb-rausch since 98.
